This Year In Art....

Everyone

Our new art year is off to a great start! Following a review of art elements, students will be introduced to many varied artists through time and investigate their works of art to discover materials used, techniques or elements of art (e.g. how lines, shapes, colors, etc. are used in the pieces), and to learn about the artist's place in history and how that may have influenced their art work and the stories they are telling with their work. This years studies of artists and techniques will be incorporated into the art history studies of last year and included in the classroom time-line as a continuation of our studies of art through history. We have large screen projection in the art room now, which will allow art work to be viewed up close and personal! Thanks to an anonymous donor, funds were made available for this wonderful addition to our art program. It's going to be another great art year! Parents, come visit us anytime!!!
